Brown Fused Alumina Oxide (BFA), HS Code 28181010, CAS No. 1344-28-1, local name, also known as carborundum,is brown artificial corundum which are melting in arc furnace from three material alumina, carbon materials, and scrap iron, so the main chemical composition of Brown Fused Alumina Oxide is Al2O3, its content is from 95.00% to 97.00%, the other contains a small amount of Fe, Si, Ti, Brown Fused Alumina Oxide is the most basic of abrasive, grinding performance is good, because of its applicability is wide and its price is cheap, they are suitable for grinding the high tensile metals, such as all kinds of general steel, malleable cast iron, hard bronze, etc., also can make advanced refractories.

Specific usages of Brown Fused Alumina Oxide :
1.Used to produce high grade refractory, castable, refractory brick; Main size is 1-3, 3-5, 5-8mm.
2. Used for Grinding wheel—-When grinding high tensile strength materials, choose the good toughness Brown Fused Alumina Oxide.
When grinding low hardness with elongation of the material, choose brittle Brown Fused Alumina Oxide.
3. Used for Sandblasting – Features: Moderate hardness, high bulk density, without free silicon dioxide, good toughness, fine size and without ash.
4. Used for Floor sand- Low grade Brown Fused Alumina Oxide can be as an additive for wear-resistant floorings.

Function: Remove surface stains, remove the welding slag and matt effect, remove oxide skin, surface strengthening, the role played by light.
