Brown Fused Corundum, (called as corundum sand in China) HS Code 28181010, CAS No. 1344-28-1, is made by chemical grade calcined alumina with electron fusing in temperature over 2000ºC. Characterized with phase, thermal and chemical stability, it is idea raw material for products like ceramic roller, kiln furniture and refractory products for metallurgy.
Brown Fused Corundum is a tough, sharp abrasive which is highly suitable for grinding metals of high tensile strength. Its thermal properties make it an excellent material for use in the manufacture of refractory products. This material is also used in other applications like blasting and surface hardening.
