Brown Fused Alumina（BFA) HS Code 28181010, CAS No. 1344-28-1, is produced from high quality Bauxite, Coal, Iron chip by being fused in an electric arc furnace at high temperature. It’s a tough, hard material (Mohs hardness 9) with strong self-sharpening, high strength, excellent wear and corrosion resistance; it has good thermal conductivity and outstanding chemical stability at very high temperature, which makes it an ideal abrasive & refractory materials used in many applications.
We manufacture brown fused alumina(BFA) in tilting furnace or fixed furnace, and tilting furnace brown fused alumina has higher Al2O3 content, lower impurities and high-performance. Brown fused alumina can be crushed and milled by barmac mill, ball mill or roller mill, and brown fused alumina milled by Barmac equipment is granted more round shape and higher bulk density. Refractory products made of it have higher density and strength, and also less opportunity to have cracks.
