Garnet for waterjet cutting is a kind of garnet consisting of iron aluminum silicate. The main colors are orange red, brown red and cherry red. The specific gravity is 3.9-4.1g/cm3. The mohs hardness is 7.5-8.0. It’s a kind of weakly magnetic mineral, transparent, luster. It has suitable harness, high toughness, sharp edge and stable chemical property. There is no free silica in the garnet product. Mixed with very high pressure water, garnet is used to cut steel and other materials in water jets. For water jet cutting, garnet extracted from hard rock is suitable since it is more angular in form, therefore more efficient in cutting.
Raw Materials: Natural high quality garnet sand.
Processing: 4 times of crushing, 6 times of washing, 3 times of magnetic, 4 times of screening. It could keep sure high quality without soil, ash and other foreign substance.

Garnet sand 80 Mesh offers fast cutting speed and good edge quality. Use to cut metals, composites, ceramics and glass.
Garnet sand 120 Mesh offers perfect edge quality and cutting speed. Used for net shape cutting applications to eliminate secondary finishing. Use to cut steel, aluminum, glass, and other brittle materials.
